People wanting to pre-order a car from Aptera can do so by paying a $500 deposit. At this moment the final retail price has not been fixed. In fact it looks like there is still quite a way to go before everything is finalised. Once the price is fixed then an Aptera service agent contacts the buyer with a purchase offer. Then the contract needs to be agreed within a 30 day period. The reservation fee is deducted from the total price. If the car is not purchased, then Aptera will return the $500 deposit, without any interest though. I wonder how many deposits the company has now received.
