Mars in 3D
Rainbow Symphony.com is a web-based company that offers the largest selection of 3D glasses, in addition to many other specialty products. One link I found that fascinated me was the opportunity for students to view Mars, the Red Planet, online in 3D. Being a teacher of elementary students, I always strive to find learning opportunities that will engage my students, leaving them with lots of questions. This is one opportunity I would love to take advantage of because I know they would enjoy it. After viewing the images, we could have a much more educated discussion about the geographical appearance of Mars, based on facts rather than all of the silly stories kids tend to bring up about Martians and alien colonies!
