What Is Boarding Up?

Boarding up is the process of securing a vacant property or building that will not be in use for a while. The reason you would do this is to stop squatters or vandals entering your building and causing problems. The boarding up process will make use of either wooden or metal sheets to cover over windows and doors. Essentially this should stop anyone entering the building and if they do they will be breaking and entering. Additionally you may wish to enlist security services, such as surveillance cameras and so on in order to ensure that if anyone does attempt to break in you will be able to prosecute.
