Self-employed people will always tell you that although it might be hard to start, a work from home business will often bring in enough money to keep a family going. There is no certainty of income with a home business, is the thing that many onlookers will think of first, when talking to a successful self employed person. But neither is there any certainty of employment for someone working in a company on salary or commission. The two options, actually, are more or less equally secure. (Or insecure, if you see a glass as half empty rather than half full.) But working from home, with all the benefits that brings, is the more secure of the two, because you at least know you will never be dismissed!
