“Three Cups of Tea” and Sleep
I have trouble sleeping. It is something I have accepted, but when it’s gone on for a time, I take a sleep aid to break the cycle. Sometimes, though, I wonder if I’m not just too focused on myself.
This blog is supposed to be about non-prescription sleeping aids. In a round-about way it is. Last night, I completed a book called “Three Cups of Tea”. It chronicles the life of a gentleman who builds schools for children in Pakistan and Afghanistan. He is particularly committed to the idea that girls be educated as well.
His days are full and his mind filled with how he can help bring resources to bear on particular problems involving poverty, education and gender roles. Though this has been a journey fraught with obstacles, he has always persevered and remained focused on the goals he set and the promises he made to others.
I wonder if this gentleman has ever needed a sleep remedy such as Equate Sleep Aid Liquidcaps or any other aid available. He lives his ideas in action. He is the change he speaks about.
I slept better last night. I had the chance to live vicariously through another individual and know that a life of commitment to others can be real. I have some new things to think about now. I will probably still need sleep aids on occasion, but I don’t think it will be so frequent a thing.
