We do not have a lot of room so having a large dog or a horse is out of the question. On the other hand, we have always felt it is important for our children to have a pet to develop an understanding of responsibility in caring for another being. Our children chose Herman the Hamster as their pet. Initially he was very active and kept us all entertained as he ran through his habitrail. Then he started to slow down and seemed to have lost most of his energy. We tried arthro-ionx to see if that would help. It was like he had found the fountain of youth. He is now back to being his entertaining self.
