Traditional Cuts of English Meat

The economic downturn has had an interesting effect on the English meat industry, more and more people are starting to eat cuts of meat that had fallen out of fashion. Cuts such as pork Trotters, pork liver, beef skirt and oxtail are increasingly being asked for at butchers and supermarkets.  The main reasoning behind this is the difference in price between them and cuts such as sirloin, loin and rump which are falling out of favour for being too expensive. It’s an interesting turnaround that has been welcomed by many meat enthusiasts who claim that some of the more old fashioned cuts are in fact the best.
