Hire an Expert
Sometimes divorces are not cheap. If you own a lot of property that needs to be legally divided between the two of you, you will need an attorney because of all the legalities of shared property. They will need to put your house up for sale or draw up paperwork that says who gets what percentage should it be sold someday. These are papers you will not want to make mistakes on because your future could be at steak. So if you own property, it is almost impossible to get a cheap divorce because you will need to hire an expert to figure everything out.
