There are many study Bibles on the book shelves today. Choosing a good study bible and be as hard or as easy as you want it to be. One of the easiest ways is to pick from among the most popular on the market. The study Bible standard that is used in most mainline churches and seminaries is the New Revised Standard Version New Oxford Annotated Bible. While accepted by the “mainline” it is not conservative in approach. The Life in the Spirit Study Bible is used mostly in the Pentecostal/Charismatic movement. The Catholic Study Bible, as the name implies focuses on the Catholic interpretation of scripture. And finally there is The NIV Study Bible. It is well balanced and conservative in it’s approach.
