The courses that they offer in high school these days are much better than when I was a kid. I remember taking wood shop and thinking that playing with leather was so cool. We also screen printed in graphic arts and learned to type. These days, kids can almost get a career by the time they graduate. They even have Linux certification in some schools or can learn it through concurrent enrollment. That’s a great program that lets you take college classes on the school’s dime. It’s great if you live in a university town or have a college nearby. Hopefully, my kids will take advantage of these opportunities.
